Community Altar

Attention all brides, bridegrooms, wedding goers, hostesses, hosts, guests, comrades, friends, family, staff, staff spinners, performers, and loved ones:

We will have a space setup as a community altar either on Friday or Saturday. It will be located where the old fire pit is. Ask Niema, Kokopaulli, Liz, Devin, Alex G. Brander, Shirley, Eric, Jim, etc. where it is or for help if you need it.

This community altar will be known as the Community Mesa. You are invited to bring any sacred object(s) to place on this Mesa during the wedding festivities.

Small objects requested, although never say no to something you feel in your Heart. (Although intact whole jaguar skulls are OK. No this is not your invitation to go hunt for one.)

The intent of the Community Mesa will be towards the healing, relationship, and community.

There will be also be spaces on the Mesa honoring of the divine feminine and divine masculine in all things, and the elements of the area (air, water, earth, fire, and spirit), as well as the Spirit of Nature herself, and the Spirit of Guidance which continually leadeth us onward.

Bring sacred objects (sacred to you!) concerning these themes or what you feel is in your Heart. The only requirement is that you have a clear and defined INTENT of why that object is being placed on the Mesa. When you bring an object to the Mesa, be sensitive to the placement and relationship of objects and what they mean TO YOU. Use your intuition, and with respect to the other objects, place the object on the Mesa holding your intention in mind.

Think of how all these themes relate. Healing, relationship, community, marriage, divine masculine and feminine, the four elements, spirit, and mama earth. With our objects we complement these themes and add our own person to the blend.

Mitakuye Oyasin. “All my relations”.

Please collect your objects when the festivities are complete. Through resonance your objects will retain a reference point of the entire weekend and its alchemy, easily accessible in the future from simply feeling the object and tuning into it.

Any questions, please ask me (jim@yahazim.com) or onsite.

To one and all, adieu.

See you in the woods.
