Schedule of events- All CHICAGO TIME
There are several different components to this weekend long celebration. In your wedding invitation, a small card was included that mentions when you are to arrive. It is important to us that each one of you please respect the sanctity of our event, and arrive on the land at the time requested on your invitation.
Please note that there will be no food provided outside of the wedding feast for those that are camping earlier or tend to have ravenous appetites.
Thursday, June 21st, 2007 - Summer Solstice
Devin and Liz will be arriving on the land late wednesday. If you are intersted in getting out of the city early and would like to start camping with us on Thursday, please come and join. We will be doing set up on the land, hanging out, chillin by the bonfire, going to the beach. We will do a small Solstice ceremony to bring in the summer.
Friday, June 22nd, 2007- Set-Up Day
The grounds will be prepared, the tents and structures will be erected, tables, chairs, kitchen equipment is all arriving and decorations will be put up.
If you have been asked to arrive for the ceremony on Saturday morning, it is suggested that you arrive on Friday due to the early ceremony.
For those requested at the Rehearsal Dinner and the Wedding Party:
- 4:30 pm – Walk through of ceremony on Shirley’s land.
- 6:00 pm – Leave for rehearsal dinner.
- 6:30 pm – Reservations for dinner at the Lubeznik Center for the Arts.
Please note that rehearsal dinner guests will be invited personally by Liz, Devin & their families.
Saturday, June 23rd, 2007- The Day
- 5:11 am – sunrise
For a selected group of our family and our close family friends: ALL CHICAGO TIME
- 9:00am - Close family and friends arrive for the Ceremony and Luncheon.
- 10:00am - Declaration of Union Ceremony Starts.
- 10:30am - Ceremony Ends, Wedding Party pictures begin.
- 11:00am - Lemonade and Fruit, mingling, seating for lunch.
- Noon - Lunch Begins for family members and close family friends.
- 2:00pm - Lunch ends.
For all of those invited to the Celebration and Lunar Ceremony: ALL CHICAGO TIME
- 3:30 pm - All invited for the celebration and dinner can arrive after this time.
- 3:00 pm on - All those arriving set up tents and settle in.
- 5:00-7:00 pm - A casual buffet dinner will be served for all who are present. This dinner will be at everyone’s own pace, no formality.
- 5:00-7:00 pm - Open bar will be available.
- 7:00 pm – Dinner finished. Cleanup begins.
- 7:45 pm- Attendees start to make their way out to center circle for the bonfire lighting
- 8:26 pm –Sunset
- 8:26 pm – A Return to The Heart - A Fire Effigy Celebrating Love and Compassion. Is Lit! Fire and Drum Jam
- 8:30 - Dawn - All Night Music and Dancing
Sunday
- 2:30 am – MEGA OHM and Lunar Ceremony
- 5:11 am – Sunrise
- 8:00 am – Yoga
- 9:00 am – Make breakfast
- 10:00 am – Breakfast, breakdown, clean up
- 2:00 pm – Time for everyone to GO HOME!
- 2:00 pm until Forever – Honeymoon
